Tinubu Appoints Peter Eze as FCC Commissioner for Enugu

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Peter Eze as the new Federal Character Commission (FCC) Commissioner representing Enugu State. The announcement was made by the President’s spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, along with the names of 36 other commissioners across the country.

Eze, from Aji in Igbo Eze North Local Government Area of Enugu State, is an economist, public administrator, and businessman with wide international experience. He is well known for promoting growth, innovation, and positive change in organizations.

He studied Economics at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), where he graduated with a Second Class Upper degree in 2014. During his time there, he held student leadership positions and received awards for outstanding service.

In 2017, he furthered his education in China at the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), Beijing, where he earned a Master’s degree in Public Administration.

Professionally, Eze has worked in several top positions, including:Director of Procurement and Logistics at Slok Nigeria Limited (2018–2020),Director of Strategy and Policy at The Sun Publishing Limited (2020–2022),Director of Operations at The New Telegraph (2022–2023)

He is currently the head of Bullion Standard Nigeria Limited, a company that handles importation, mining, production, and services.

With his background in journalism, business management, policy development, and international relations, Eze is expected to bring strong leadership skills to the FCC.

His role will be to help the Commission achieve its goal of promoting fairness, equity, and equal representation in Nigeria’s federal appointments and resource distribution.
