The Enugu State Forest Guard has dismantled several kidnappers’ camps located in forests between Enugu and Kogi states. During the operation, the security team neutralized some of the criminals, recovered their AK-47 rifles, and successfully rescued nine kidnapped victims.
This achievement comes only weeks after the guards completed intensive security training ordered by the Governor of Peter Mbah.
The operation is seen as a major step in strengthening security and protecting communities in the forests and border areas of Enugu State and Kogi State. Authorities have commended the Forest Guard for their bravery and commitment in tackling kidnapping and other criminal activities in the region.
