Enugu Benefits from Federal Projects Under Renewed Hope Agenda

President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda is reshaping Nigeria with federal projects that cut across political party lines. Enugu State, though governed by the opposition PDP, is a clear example of this inclusive approach, as massive infrastructure and healthcare projects are currently underway.

Among the most notable developments are the 350-metre, N23.5 billion, 23 span flyover at Eke Obinagu, Emene, and a major interchange at Abakpa Junction. These projects are designed to ease traffic congestion, boost commercial activity, and open new economic corridors for Enugu and the Southeast. They are not symbolic gestures, but large scale federal investments with long-term economic benefits.

Equally significant is the construction of a world class Cancer Treatment Centre at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH), Ituku Ozalla. As a Centre of Excellence in Oncology, it will provide advanced cancer care, including diagnosis, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and surgery. This means that Ndi Igbo and other Nigerians will no longer need to spend millions abroad for treatment bringing relief, hope, and dignity to countless families.

These projects are being driven by President Tinubu’s vision and the efforts of Uche Nnaji, Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, and leader of the APC in Enugu State. Nnaji has played a key role in ensuring Enugu benefits from federal programs, despite being an opposition-controlled state. His advocacy highlights leadership that prioritizes service over politics.

The projects the Eke Obinagu Flyover, the Abakpa Interchange, and the UNTH Cancer Centre are clear evidence that federal leadership is delivering real impact in Enugu. While political debates continue, the Federal Government is building infrastructure and healthcare facilities that will serve generations.

In truth, these projects are not the work of the state government. They are federal initiatives delivered through President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the strategic efforts of Minister Uche Nnaji.

History will record that while others made political claims, the Federal Government under President Tinubu and Minister Nnaji delivered real progress building not just roads and hospitals, but a stronger future for Enugu.
