Okeke Calls for Loyalty and Unity After Enugu APC Congress

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Barr. Henry Nnanna Okeke, has stressed the need for transparency, internal democracy, and collective commitment to help grow the party in Enugu State.

Okeke spoke with journalists in Abuja after taking part in the APC State Congress held at Okpara Square.

He explained that the congress produced a new state executive committee through what he described as a democratically conducted unanimous affirmation vote by party delegates.

“I had the honour of participating in the APC State Congress held at the historic Okpara Square in Enugu, where the new executive members were elected through a unanimous affirmation vote by the State Congress delegates,” he said.

Okeke described the congress as a successful event, saying it showed strong leadership and unity within the party. He added that the exercise reflected the influence and leadership of the governor of Enugu State, Peter Mbah.

According to him, the congress also showed that members of the party in the state are united and confident in the leadership of the party.

He congratulated the newly elected party officials led by Dr. Martin Chukwunweike, describing him as the “quintessential Ozoigbondu.”

Quoting the new chairman, Okeke said: “Loyalty has no percentage; it is either loyalty or nothing.”

Okeke added that he was happy to have participated in the APC congresses at the ward, local government, and state levels.

“I am truly delighted to have actively participated in the ward, LGA, and state congresses, and I thank God that tomorrow is here and the new Enugu is now,” he said.
