Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has celebrated her former husband Olakunle Churchill’s daughter on her birthday, describing the young girl as someone who feels like the daughter she never had.

Tonto marked the occasion by spending time with the birthday girl and her own son, Andre, at a restaurant. She also shared a video of the celebration on Instagram on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.

In the footage, the actress could be seen enjoying a warm moment with the two children as they celebrated the special occasion together.

Tonto Dikeh shares emotional birthday message

Accompanying the video was an affectionate message in which Tonto expressed her love and appreciation for Churchill’s daughter.

The actress described the celebrant as a source of humour, warmth and happiness in her life, adding that she had grown into an incredible person.

Tonto also revealed that her bond with the young girl is particularly special because she sees her as the daughter she never had.

She described loving the child as one of her greatest blessings and prayed for her continued growth and happiness.

Fans praise Tonto for her gesture

The actress’s post attracted positive reactions from fans, with many applauding her for maintaining a loving relationship with a child connected to her former marriage.

Some followers described Tonto as a woman with a genuine heart, while others praised her for showing love without pretence.

One fan wrote that every woman needs a daughter and encouraged Tonto to continue loving the birthday girl.

Another congratulated Tonto on her “daughter,” while a different follower praised her for loving people wholeheartedly when they earn a place in her heart.

The gesture also drew attention because of the highly publicised history surrounding Tonto Dikeh’s relationship with Olakunle Churchill, which ended years ago.

Churchill’s relationship with his children

Olakunle Churchill has also continued to share moments involving his children on social media.

In a recent post, he shared a video from a visit to his first child at school. The post generated reactions from followers, with some commending him for being involved in his children’s lives.

Tonto Dikeh’s latest birthday gesture has, meanwhile, shifted attention to the cordial bond she appears to maintain with Churchill’s daughter and the importance she places on the child’s happiness.

The celebration has further sparked conversations among fans about love, family and maintaining healthy relationships with children despite changes in adult relationships.
