APC Sets Out Campaign Schedule for Enugu 2026 Local Government Polls

The Enugu State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced its campaign itinerary ahead of the 2026 local government elections, with the party planning visits to all 17 local government areas in the state.

The timetable, issued on August 24, 2026, shows that the campaign tour will begin on September 1 and run through September 24.

According to the schedule, the first leg of the campaign will take place in Udenu Local Government Area on September 1 at 9 a.m. at the council headquarters.

The campaign team will then proceed to Igbo-Eze North at 11 a.m. before moving to Igbo-Eze South for a 1 p.m. engagement on the same day.

The tour will resume on September 3 with visits to Awgu at 10 a.m. and Aninri at noon.

On September 5, the party is scheduled to campaign in Enugu North at 10 a.m., followed by Enugu South at 12 noon.

The itinerary continues on September 8 with stops in Oji River and Udi. On September 11, the campaign will move to Igbo-Etiti and Nsukka.

Isi-Uzo and Enugu East are scheduled for September 15, while party representatives will visit Uzo-Uwani and Ezeagu on September 18.

The final phase of the tour will take place on September 24, with campaign activities planned for Nkanu West at 10 a.m. and Nkanu East at noon.

All the scheduled engagements will be held at the respective local government headquarters.

The document was signed by the APC Enugu State Chairman, Dr. Martin Chukwunweike, and the state secretary, Hon. Chukwudi Nnadozie.

The campaign timetable represents an early mobilisation effort by the opposition party as it prepares for the Enugu local government elections. The planned tour is expected to provide the APC with an opportunity to meet party members, stakeholders and supporters across the state’s 17 council areas.

The exercise also signals the party’s intention to strengthen its grassroots structures and build support ahead of the local government polls.
