A politician in Enugu State, Prince Ikechukwu Oloto, popularly known as Okanga Moo, has reportedly been killed by unidentified gunmen in Nsukka Local Government Area.
Oloto was allegedly attacked at his residence in the Odenigbo area of Nsukka on Thursday evening, according to reports.
Details surrounding the incident remain sketchy, including the identity of the attackers and the possible motive for the killing.
Reports circulating online claimed that the politician was attacked with a knife. However, the circumstances of the attack have not been independently established.
Social media influencer Senator Chijinkem Ugwuanyi also confirmed the reported death in a Facebook post, stating that Oloto was killed at his Odenigbo residence.
Ugwuanyi described the incident as a brutal attack, although the more graphic details contained in the post have not been independently verified.
The reported killing comes as political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections continue to generate attention across the country.
