Manchester United manager Michael Carrick expresses great belief in his team as they return to the UEFA Champions League. Carrick secured the permanent manager job at Old Trafford after leading the club to a impressive third-place finish in the Premier League during his time as interim manager. That effort brought European nights back to Old Trafford. Now, as United prepare to kick off their tournament against Azerbaijani champions Sabah, the manager is making it clear that they are not participating just to enjoy the atmosphere—they are here to achieve real results.
Speaking to media ahead of the match, Carrick highlighted how magical the Champions League is. He explained that when a club is out of the tournament, they realize just how special it is, and once they get back in, they must grab the opportunity with both hands.
