Yesterday in Abuja, Enugu State Governor Dr. Peter Mbah held a consultative meeting with senior federal public servants from Enugu under the aegis of the Coal City Elites Forum (CCEF). The discussions were described as sincere, informative, and fruitful, with the forum members commending the governor’s remarkable achievements in less than two years.
Dr. Mbah highlighted key projects aimed at transforming Enugu into a top destination for business, investment, and tourism. Among the ongoing initiatives is a N40 billion revitalisation of Sunrise Flour Mills in Emene, along with over N300 billion in private sector investments attracted in the past three months.
Notable projects include the reopening of Hotel Presidential, the International Conference Centre, and a new 300-bed Enugu International Hospital, set to serve the Southeast region. Additionally, 33% of the state’s budget has been allocated to education, with plans to develop Smart Green Schools in all 260 wards.
