Eid-El-Fitr: ADC Stakeholders Meet in Enugu to Strategise Ahead of 2027 Elections

Enugu City recently hosted a high-level gathering of political leaders from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in what many observers see as a strategic move to strengthen the party’s structure and expand its influence.

The stakeholders’ meeting brought together key political figures from across the South-East, including former Anambra State Governor Mr. Peter Obi; the ADC governorship candidate in the 2025 Anambra election, Mr. John Chuma Nwosu; his running mate, Chief Dr. Ndubuisi Nwobu; and former Imo State Governor Chief Achike Udenwa.

Also in attendance were Rt. Hon. Barrister Ben Chuks Nwosu, Chairman of ADC MMRRC in Anambra State; Hon. Peter Aniekwe, who represents Anambra East and West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives; and Hon. Onyebuchi Offor, along with other notable party stakeholders.

Sources described the meeting as both timely and strategic, with discussions centered on strengthening party unity, evaluating ongoing grassroots mobilization, and developing a clear roadmap for future political engagements.

Observers noted that the presence of such influential leaders highlights a renewed commitment by the ADC to reposition itself as a strong political force, particularly within the South-East region.

Mr. John Chuma Nwosu’s participation further emphasized his rising influence within the party, as deliberations reportedly focused on inclusiveness, effective leadership, and sustained voter engagement.

Although key details of the discussions were held behind closed doors, the meeting is expected to shape the party’s next phase of activities. Stakeholders expressed optimism about building a more coordinated and impactful ADC moving forward.

Political analysts believe the Enugu gathering could mark a significant turning point for the party as it seeks to consolidate its strength and build momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections.
