In a development that has sent shockwaves through the tech industry, an artificial intelligence researcher officially resigned from Anthropic, issuing a chilling public warning that the reckless pursuit of advanced machine intelligence could lead to catastrophic outcomes before the current decade concludes. The resignation has reignited scrutiny over how major technology laboratories build, test, and govern powerful computational systems.
The researcher, identified as Jacob Coxon, shared his detailed reasons for stepping down in a widely circulated statement on social media.
