Khloe Simmonds Jailed After False Rape Claims Against Six Men
A 26-year-old transgender woman, Khloe Simmonds, has been sentenced to seven and a half years in prison after making a series of false rape allegations against six men in the United Kingdom.
Simmonds was sentenced at Harrow Crown Court after admitting eight counts of perverting the course of justice. According to reports from the court case, she made at least 12 false allegations between July 2018 and January 2026. The allegations resulted in several police investigations and affected innocent people who were accused of serious crimes.
The court heard that Simmonds spent hundreds of hours speaking with police officers while making the claims. At one point, her reports accounted for about 2.5 percent of all rape and serious sexual assault allegations recorded in Harrow.
One of the most serious cases involved a man who was accused of raping Simmonds at knifepoint. Police investigated the allegation for 88 days before the man was cleared. According to reports, the man said the allegation had a major effect on his life and that he later attempted to take his own life.
Another case involved a chef whom Simmonds met through the dating app Grindr. She invited him to her home, but he reportedly left after becoming uncomfortable. Simmonds later contacted emergency services and claimed that the man had raped her and that her drink had been spiked. The man was subsequently arrested and spent time at a police station.
In another allegation, Simmonds accused a taxi driver of rape. However, information from the vehicle's GPS and tracking system showed that the taxi had continued travelling and had not stopped as claimed. The evidence helped investigators establish that the allegation was false.
During sentencing, Judge John Lodge described the conduct as a sustained pattern rather than isolated incidents. He also said the false claims had taken police resources away from investigating genuine victims of serious crime.
Simmonds' defence lawyer told the court that she had difficulties involving alcohol and mental health, as well as diagnoses including autism and ADHD. The defence argued that these issues contributed to her behaviour, although they did not excuse the false allegations.
The case has attracted public attention because of the serious consequences suffered by the men who were falsely accused. It also highlights the importance of proper investigations before conclusions are reached in serious criminal cases.
False accusations can cause lasting damage to people's families, jobs, relationships and mental wellbeing. At the same time, genuine victims of sexual crimes must continue to be treated seriously and supported when they report offences.
The sentence against Simmonds is therefore being seen as a reminder that deliberately making false reports of serious crimes can have severe legal consequences. The case also shows why evidence, investigation and due process remain important in the justice system.
