Through the online Evaluation and Accreditation System portal, known as ESSVerify (essverify.education.gov.ng), citizens, foreign-trained graduates, employers, and educational institutions can now evaluate, authenticate, and verify local and international qualifications from anywhere in the world. For years, authenticating academic documents required applicants to physically visit the Federal Ministry of Education in Abuja. This manual process often led to long wait times, heavy paperwork, and bureaucratic delays.
