Keeping Enugu Safe: How the Government Is Fighting Crime
Enugu State is a peaceful and beautiful place in southeastern Nigeria. But like many other places, it faces some security challenges. One of the biggest actions taken was the demolition of a criminal hideout that was pretending to be a Church.
In Onicha Enugu Ezike, a town in Igbo Eze North Local Government Area, the government discovered a suspicious building that looked like a church. But after investigations, it was found to be a hideout for criminals.
This building was not being used for prayer or religious gatherings. Instead, it was being used by people who were involved in illegal activities, such as robbery and kidnapping. Some people in the community had suspected something was wrong and reported it to the authority
Once the government confirmed what was happening there, they decided to demolish the Building . Bulldozers were brought in, and the entire place was demolished. This was done to:
