FRSC Mourns Death of Phyna’s Sister, Promises Safer Roads
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has expressed sadness over the death of Ruth Otabor, sister of reality TV star Phyna, who died from injuries she suffered in a road accident.
The crash happened on August 13, 2025, near Auchi Polytechnic, Edo State. It involved a Dangote truck and a commercial motorcycle.
FRSC Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, sent condolences to the Otabor family, the Students’ Union, and the Auchi Polytechnic community.
He explained that the FRSC has already taken steps to prevent similar accidents. These include working with the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and partnering with big companies like Dangote and BUA to improve driver training and recertification.
The Corps also promised to keep strengthening road safety enforcement, awareness campaigns, and partnerships to reduce accidents.
Shehu Mohammed prayed for the peaceful rest of Ruth’s soul and assured Nigerians that the FRSC will continue working to make roads safer for everyone.
