The Deputy Chairman of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) in Enugu State, Ugo-Ferdinand Ukwueze, has praised President Bola Tinubu for selecting Governor Peter Mbah to coordinate his 2027 campaign activities across the Southeast.
Ukwueze, who also chairs Igboeze South Local Government Area, said in Enugu that Mbah possesses the political experience, grassroots network and leadership capacity needed to mobilise support for Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the region.
According to him, Mbah’s record in office has strengthened public confidence in government and enhanced his standing among communities and political stakeholders across the Southeast.
He described the Enugu governor as a leader capable of converting political ideas into practical development, while maintaining strong relationships with people at the grassroots.
“Mbah is a political leader with the courage, exposure and administrative competence required to effectively mobilise the Southeast for President Tinubu,” Ukwueze said.
The ALGON official added that Mbah understands the concerns and expectations of residents in the region and is well positioned to engage traditional rulers, community leaders, politicians and other influential groups ahead of the 2027 election.
Ukwueze further argued that Tinubu’s decision to entrust Mbah with the responsibility reflects the governor’s growing political influence and ability to bring together people with different interests.
He expressed confidence that Mbah would use his experience and network to build an effective campaign structure capable of attracting broad support for the President across the Southeast.
