The Enugu State Police Command has called on Nigerian youths to embrace honesty, hard work and integrity as the foundation for achieving lasting success, urging them to stay away from criminal activities.
The command's spokesperson, Daniel Ndukwe, made the appeal in a statement issued on Tuesday in Enugu while reflecting on the lessons from the recently concluded 2026 FIFA World Cup.
In the statement, titled "Beyond the Trophy: What Spain's World Cup Triumph Teaches About Success and Integrity," Ndukwe said genuine success is not built on shortcuts but on discipline, perseverance and ethical conduct.
He encouraged young people to pursue their goals through legitimate means, stressing that while criminal acts may appear rewarding in the short term, they often end in regret and serious consequences.
According to him, enduring success comes to those who remain committed to hard work, uphold integrity and face life's challenges with patience and determination.
