Peter Okoye Reacts After Soso Soberekon Offers N500m for Boxing Match With Paul

By Isaac Mission

Nigerian music executive Soso Soberekon has sparked reactions online after offering singer Peter Okoye N500 million to face his twin brother, Paul Okoye, in a boxing match.

The dramatic proposal was made during Peter’s live performance on Sunday night. Soberekon reportedly held up his phone from the audience, displaying a message offering the huge sum for a proposed bout between the estranged P-Square brothers.

Peter noticed the message and appeared amused, responding with a smile and a wave as the offer was presented to him.

Soso’s unusual proposal

According to the message displayed on Soberekon’s phone, the offer was straightforward: N500 million for Peter and Paul to settle their differences inside a boxing ring.

A video capturing the exchange quickly circulated on social media, attracting comments from fans and followers of the musicians.

The proposal comes at a time when the relationship between Peter and Paul has once again become a major subject of public discussion.

Peter and Paul’s dispute continues

The twin brothers, who achieved international success as members of P-Square, have been involved in a prolonged family and business dispute.

Peter has recently made allegations concerning the management and distribution of royalties from the group’s music catalogue, with his elder brother, Jude Okoye, also featuring prominently in the dispute.

The disagreement has generated reactions from celebrities, entertainers and social media personalities, with several individuals weighing in on the matter.

However, Soberekon’s N500 million boxing proposal has added a humorous but controversial twist to the ongoing saga.

Social media reacts

The video has attracted mixed reactions from social media users. While some found Soberekon’s proposal amusing, others questioned the wisdom of encouraging the brothers to settle a family disagreement through a physical confrontation.

Some commenters also joked about what a boxing match between the former P-Square members could look like, while others urged people to stop escalating the brothers’ disagreement.

For now, Peter has not indicated that he accepted the N500 million challenge. His reaction during the performance appeared to suggest that he was not taking the proposal seriously.

The development has nevertheless provided another talking point amid the continuing drama surrounding Peter, Paul and Jude Okoye.
