Players and officials of Rovers FC were involved in a road accident in the early hours of today near Asaba.

According to initial reports, the team’s buses were traveling to Lagos for a scheduled football match when the incident occurred. Details surrounding the cause of the accident remain unclear as of the time of filing this report.
